City of York Girls Football League Tournament – Sun 7th June

The 14th annual tournament will be on Sunday 7th June and will all be 7 a side 10 minute matches as per mini soccer rules.

AM (9:30 – 12:30 approx.) – U10s, U12s and U14s

PM (1:30 – 4:30 approx.) – U11s, U13s and U15s

  • 18 Referees required
  • Each referee will be allocated 10-12 x 10 minute matches all day or 5-6 x 10 minute matches for half day.
  • Payment will be Full day £30 or half day £15 plus Food & Drink Vouchers

Looks like being a full house with 9 Pitches, 72 teams and circa 200 fixtures, so if you are available please email David Winterburn with name, email address and contact number, Level and Age if U16 so he can copy you in with all info/rules etc.

Tadcaster Albion Juniors Football Gala

Tadcaster Albion Juniors are looking for referees for their gala this weekend:

The tournament is on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th May 2015 at Riverside Primary School, Tadcaster.

We are seeking referees for one or both days.

The tournament will run from 9a.m. to about 5p.m. on each day.

We will pay £30 per day plus supply you a delicious lunch from our famous tournament barbeque.

There are U7s up to U16s. Evens on one day odds on the next.

Refereeing Opportunities at Football Mundial

Football Mundial are looking for referees for their regular, FA-registered 6-a-side competitions.

Fees are £15 for 1 hour and £25 for 2 hours.

Football Mundial leagues run at:

Huntington School Astro: Mondays & Thursdays 7-9pm
York College 3G: Mondays 6.30-9.30 & Tuesdays 8.30-9.30
Sport Village 3G :Tuesdays 7-8pm & Sundays 6-8pm.

A minute’s silence was observed for Noel Madden and John Ibbotson – ex members who sadly died during the close season.

Apologies were received from Mssrs Smith; Milburn; Hartley; Thorpe; Boothman; Godson; Blakey; Bishop; Simpson; and Shiers.

Minutes of the last meeting were read and accepted, matters arising, a report was given on Don and Joan Thorpe.

Correspondence from RA; RA Draw; Rob Rich; was read.

Reports were given regarding Conference, Cricket; Refs course, meeting with Greg Dyke.

Appeals for refs, Gordon Staniforth asked for officials to help out at York College Girls Centre of Excellence(various age groups) and College matches on a Saturday am and Wednesday. York Play Football at Clifton Moor were also looking for refs.

Supplies Joe Ballantyne said he can get Nike kit through the RA at competitive prices, just ask.

Membership stands at 62, it was pleasing to see that there had been payments made on line

The Annual Dinner will be held on March 29th at Park Inn,

The evening’s Guest, Graham Laws ex FL official now PGMOL Referee coach then gave a presentation on his role answering questions and queries along the way. This proved popular as he never finished his power point display when time was called at 9.45.

There being no AOB, meeting closed at 9.50.

North Riding Women’s County League

The North Riding CFA are looking to recruit a pool of registered referees to officiate in the North Riding Women’s football league which covers, York, Middlesbrough, Redcar & Cleveland and Hambleton & Richmondshire.

Matches take place on a Sunday afternoon with the kick off time usually being 2pm – however this can change with the agreement of both teams and the match official.

Match Officials shall be entitled to charge standard class public transport expenses or private car expenses of 30p per mile plus a match fee of £20.

Appointments will be organised on a monthly basis.
