New Referees Course and Taster Session

Refs Course New Format – Taster Sessions

On 17 September 2015 there is a Taster evening at York College (1900-2100 hrs) for prospective new referees. If you are interested in refereeing then you must attend this taster session before embarking on the full referees course (if that is what you wish to do following the session).

The cost of this Taster is only £12 and you must apply to NRCFA.

You will not be obliged to take the full course, only if you wish to referee 11-a-side football.

Further details can be found at NRCFA website.

The next course in York (at York College)  is scheduled for October 2015; the two main Sundays are 11 and 18 Oct (930-1630 hrs) plus a workshop covering Law 12 (Fouls & Misconduct) on 15 Oct 1800- 2100 hrs).

Further details can be found at NRCFA website.

Once this is completed you will be expected to do 5 games (end of Oct onwards) before coming back for the exam and next steps workshop (tbc).

The cost of the course will be £115.

All candidates will also be expected to do a Safeguarding Children workshop prior to doing their full course and those over 16 years of age wishing to referee youth football will need a valid CRC check (done online).

After all this you will then become a qualified level 7/8 referee.
