We were sad to hear of the passing of York RA stalwart, Tony Kennedy, earlier this week.
He passed away peacefully, having deteriorated recently following his stroke 3 years ago.
Tony was York RA Chairman 1997-2000. He was awarded his RA 50 year membership in 2008 and the York RA Chairman’s Award in 2010. He was a stalwart member of the RA and a supporter of referees, having assessed in the local Supply League for a number of years before his stroke.
Tony’s cremation service will be held at Woodlands crematorium in Scunthorpe on Thursday 23rd October at 10.40am. This will be followed by some light refreshments at the Ingram Arms public house in Laughton village (about 15 minutes drive from the crematorium).
