Sunday 8th September YOU ARE THE REF had a question on what is the referee’s decision if a player was seen urinating on the field of play during the half time interval.  Here we have a goalkeeper who could not wait for the referee to end the half.  He is Paul Gothard (Auckland), in a World Cup (Club) championship game against TP Mezembe which they won 3-2 in DR  Congo.  It is more than a WEE offence : it is a PENAL offence, and it happened in a WC match.  Is it the SOLUTION needed to stop players DIVING in the penalty area?
